Our Story

Handy Neighbor has been a huge passion project of mine that I’m ecstatic to finally realize. While the business has grown into something I can truly admire, it derived from humble and unexpected beginnings.

During a modest upbringing I always tried to be as helpful as possible - whether it was helping my mom grade math tests or my dad with projects in his shop, I was never short on productive tasks. My life track always included college, and when the time came I earned a BS in Applied Statistics from UC Davis in 2019. Following, I decided to take a short break which became extended due to the 2020 pandemic.

When it came time to work again, I found consistent labor by applying the skills I learned from my dad. There was consistent demand for handyman work in the Marin suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area and I was able to connect with clients through gig apps. Four years and two cities later, this temporary solution eventually blossomed into Handy Neighbor Home Services and, while it isn’t the career I envisioned, I couldn’t be happier to perform such rewarding work.
